August 2009 - In einem Bericht über eine Serie von Angriffen auf Roma in Gnjilane, im Osten Kosovos, die möglicherweise einen ethnischen Hintergrund haben, äußert die Menschenrechtsorganisation Chachipe ernsthafte Zweifel über die Qualität und Objektivität der Berichterstattung über ethnisch motivierte Gewalttaten gegenüber Roma. Berichten zufolge, wurden in den letzten Juliwochen in einem traditionellen Romaviertel in Gnjilane, mehrere Roma von albanischen Nachbarn angegriffen und misshandelt, ohne die internationalen Organisationen darüber berichtet hätten.
