Großbritannien: BBC-Doku zur English Defence League

Die BBC hat sich in der Dokumentation „Young, British and Angry“ mit dem Phänomen der English Defence League (EDL) befasst. Die Organisation mit Ursprüngen in der rechten Hooligan-Szene und Verbindungen in das Milieu der British National Party (BNP) und der National Front (NF) sorgt seit geraumer Zeit mit islamfeindlichen Demonstrationen für Protest. Wiederholt ist es am Rande von Veranstaltungen zu Auseinandersetzungen mit der Polizei und antifaschistischen Gegendemonstranten gekommen.
